Lee A. Wooderson

Lee A. Wooderson, 86, passed away on November 4th, 2021, at his home in
Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born in Manderson, WY to Elmer L. "Jack"
and Vero 0. Johnson Wooderson. He and his wife, Judith Lerch Wooderson
moved from Bloomfield, NM April 2021 to be closer to his children and
their families.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judith; three children, Annette
Kennedy (Jesse), Allen Wooderson, Alicia Vossler (Jack); stepson, David
Koppenhaver (Patricia); five grandchildren, Jay Kennedy, Heather Fauber,
Dane Turrentine, Joshua Vossler and Kyle Koppenhaver; five great-
grandchildren, Damon Welch, Brianna and Abbey Fauber, Harper Webster,
and Deagan Turrentine; and one great-great-grandson, Mateo Estrada.

Preceding him in death in 2019 was his stepdaughter, Jamie Koppenhaver
Turrentine. Lee also had four half-sisters, two living, Sue Poeschel and
Anne McCleskey, and two deceased, Virginia Wilk and Linda Henley.

Lee spent his life as a consulting geologist in mining, oil and gas, and
construction. He was a graduate of the university of Wyoming and later
in life earned an associate degree in archeology and anthropology at San
Juan College in Farmington, NM. Lee retired from San Juan College having
worked there for years as an adjunct professor and clerk-of-the-works
for the Physical Plant.

Lee loved the lord and attended Mesa View Baptist Church, Farmington,
NM. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, AF & AM
Masonic Lodge, York Rite, The Shriners, and many other service
organizations.

Lee was proud to have served our country in the US Army during the
Korean era and for a brief time in the German occupation. As a Chaplain
in the VFW 2182, he and his team furnished military honors for more than
1700 deceased members. The family is grateful a memorial service with
military honors by the Marine Corps League will be held for him on
December 6th, 2021, at 2:00 at The Views in Lake Havasu City. Everyone
is welcome. Light refreshments will be served following the service.

A graveside service will be held in the veteran section at Memory
Gardens in Farmington, NM in April 2022. Please contact the family for
further information.

Arrangements were placed in the care of Leitz Fraze Funeral Home and
crematory.
