| Published by Yuma Sun on Dec. 5, 2021 - Yuma, Arizona - Dennis Michael Hroza (76), born February 13, 1945 in Chicago IL, passed away on November 26, 2021 at his home in Yuma, AZ. Dennis was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served in the 25th Infantry Division and 101st Airborne and received 2 Purple Hearts and 2 Bronze stars for his service in Vietnam. Dennis was also extremely proud to be nearly 30 years sober in AA (Jan 20, 1992). He spent every day of his sobriety helping others and saved numerous lives within his huge AA family. Dennis is survived by his wife Sandra Hroza, sons Mitchel (Daneen) and James (Mechelle) Hroza, daughter Catlin Flack, grandchildren Hayley (Richard) Fields , Kayla Hroza, Landon Manring, great grandson Chance Brown; also by the wonderful Colleen Taylor. He was predeceased by his father Joseph (J.J.); mother Ruth; brother Douglas; first wife Barbara (Sieker) Hroza; and granddaughter Shannon Hroza. All are welcome to join us as we honor and pay our respects to such a loving and devoted husband and father on December 18th, 2021 from 11am 1pm at Yuma Mortuary & Crematory located at 775 S. 5th Ave. Yuma, AZ 85364. Additional Services will be held at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA on January 20th, 2022.
