He was born December 4, 1935 in Belleview, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Caroline Kazulis. Bob joined the Navy and served from May 1953 to November 1956, serving on the USS Chanticleer, a submarine tender in the Pacific. He was married to Marilynn Jones with three children: David Dockery, Mike Dockery and Adrienne Dockery Polk. Bob supported his family working as a motorcycle mechanic and lived in the Yuma and Wellton, Arizona area for many years. Bob was a true motorcycle enthusiast, riding all models of bikes. Racing motorcycles was a passion for Bob during his youth, racing mostly flat track mile and 1/2 oval events. Bob was regarded as a "Super Shoe" with his colleagues during his racing career, a term meaning a person of great accomplishments. Bob liked to tell his racing stories; this was always with a gleam in his eye, an infectious smile and unmistakable laugh. He also enjoyed vintage motorcycle racing during some of the annual Sturgis Motorcycle rallies which he attended for many consecutive years. Off-roading with family and friends and watching motorsport racing events were regular pastimes for Bob. Bob left a lasting impression on his family and friends. No services are planned.
