Yuma, Arizona -

It is with great sadness that the Frauenfelder family is announcing the
passing of our mother Betty Louise (Colman) Frauenfelder. Betty was born
February 14, 1929 to Harry and Rose Colman and died December 10, 2021.

Betty married her Yuma Criminal High School sweetheart Herman
Frauenfelder and they spent 67 years of happiness together. We rejoice
knowing that Betty now joins her parents, Herman and son David. Her
children Casey Hudson, Kevin Frauenfelder, Chris Bourland and Tammy
Stover have enriched her life with 9 grand children, 17 great grand
children and 2 great great grand children.

If you ask us, our mom was indeed special. She raised five children that
loved her dearly and love each other. She was a wonderful wife to our
dad and a close friend to many special people here in Yuma. She was a
teacher, first in Gadsden then at Somerton grammar school, for many
years and was known as Mrs. F, or in one special year when her youngest
daughter Tammy was in her class as "Mom" just to avoid confusion. Even
today many of her students still recognize her as "Mom".

Her husband Herman, as the Justice of the Peace in Somerton, married
many couples in his courtroom or at the family house. When women would
come up to mom and dad and introduce themselves as "you married me" our
mom would pipe up and say "no, he married me". Life was always that way
with our parents - happy and comfortable. Their friends and family
always looked

forward to spending a few minutes with them at their home - it was a
rare day if someone didn't stop by just to say hi.

Mom and dad were fortunate to be able to travel, and they loved it.
Golfing trips, cruises, driving tours of our country, worldwide places
Kevin has lived, family summers in the White Mountains and days at the
beach. Most of their trips included stops to visit with friends that had
moved but stayed in touch. Friendships were very important to them.

Betty was involved with her children and grandchildren too. She so
enjoyed the recitals, athletics, school events, vacations and weddings
and she had lots to attend. She always enjoyed being able to golf and
play bridge with friends at the golf course.

Mom was so fortunate to have devoted and loving care givers that made
her end of life meaningful, especially the bond between Sara and mom.

Life will not be the same without our smiling mom but we know that she
made our lives full of happiness and we will always love her.

Service will be held this Friday, December 17, 2021 at 3:00pm at the
same church Betty and Herman were married in 1951. Old St. Paul's
Church, 645 S 2nd Ave.,

Yuma, AZ 85364 If you wish to make a donation, the family requests
donations be made to Hospice of Yuma. Casey, Kevin, Chris, David, and
Tammy.
