| Published by The Miner on Dec. 18, 2021 - Kingman, Arizona - Russell Leon Mott, age 81, sadly passed away in his granddaughter’s home in Kingman, Arizona on Oct. 19, 2021. Russell was born March 20, 1940 in Los Angeles, California. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy after his high school graduation and was honorably discharged in 1961. Russell had numerous occupations from being a mechanic to his passion of being a cook. Upon retirement Russell found his way to the serene away of Golden Valley, Arizona where he purchased some land and made it a place he hoped to call home forever for him and his grandchildren. Russell loved going to the local VFW for Monday night pool with his granddaughter Larrie and singing karaoke on Saturday nights. Russell loved going to the Santa Anita racetrack as much as he loves bowling on leagues at the Riverside in Laughlin. He was a stubborn, strong and proud man who thought he was invincible and would live forever. He was the type of person that would never see the bad in someone and always believed everyone was a friend. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother and son Shawn, who we lost in January of 2021. He leaves behind a daughter Jacqueline (Mott); three grandchildren Rachael, Larrie and Hailee; one grandson Shawn Jr.; and three great- grandchildren with two more expected next year. We will cherish all the memories of this wonderful man called Dad, Grandpa and friend to many. Russell will be laid to rest with his Mother in Oceanside, California in the near future. |
