In Loving Memory of Albin Bruno Kowahl, Nov. 28, 2021

“Those we love do not go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen,
unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed, still very dear.”

Albin “Al” Kowahl, one of seven children, born March 1, 1927 to Michael
Kowahl and Lucy Sylla in Independence, Wisconsin. Al grew up on the
family farm along with his siblings Martina, Edward, Broney, Raymond,
Lucille and Tracy.

Al married the love of his life Geraldine “Geri” Mast on July 3, 1948 in
Columbia Heights, Minnesota. The family later moved to San Diego,
California where together they raised their three sons, Ronald (Ron),
William (Bill) and Bruce.

Al and Geri were happily married for over 50 years and celebrated many
milestones together before Geri received her “Angel Wings” in 2008. Not
a day went by that he didn’t long to be with her.

Al worked for Rohr Aerospace for most of his career as a Production
Manager where he eventually retired.

Pop left his beloved San Diego and made the move to Kingman, Arizona
almost two years ago with his son and daughter-in-law. He kept busy
tinkering in his shop while caring for the local wildlife which included
desert chickens (quail), woodpeckers, road runners, blue jays,
squirrels, chippies and an occasional deer or two, or nine. He was quite
the deer whisperer. It was like he had a neon sign that said “Eat at
Pop’s Place.”

Al is survived by two of his three sons, Ron and Bruce; four
grandchildren, Christopher, Julie, Ashley and Nathan; 12 great-
grandchildren, Christina, Renee, Sorren, Aubrey, Angel, Harmony, Ariana,
Elliana, Jana, Joshua, Jayson and Jonathan; and two great-great
grandchildren, Ruth and Matthew.

Interment of the Ashes will be at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, Bonita,
California.
