On December 25th, 2020, Clara Regina Laird was called home to spend
Christmas with Our Lord and Savior.

Clara Regina Savage was born on October 1, 1927 in the small town of Egg
Harbor Township, NJ to Benjamin and Margaret (Smith) Savage. Clara
graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School in 1946.

Clara loved to dance and met her soulmate Ferdinand Laird at a dance
hall in Oaklyn, NJ. They were married on January 26th, 1951 and shared a
loving relationship up until Ferdinand’s passing in December of 2004.
Even after Ferdinand’s passing Clara spoke of him often and would
reminisce about their life together.

Clara is survived by her sons, Kenneth Laird (Bonny), Thomas Laird,
David Laird (Marcella) and her only daughter Terry Laird Griswold and
her son-in-law David Griswold; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Clara was a member of the Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church for many years
prior to moving to Arizona. She had many friends within the church who
stayed in contact with her and she loved receiving letters and cards
from them. Clara also had special relationships with a certain few who
referred to her as mom or grand mom throughout her life. Clara was close
to her sister Mary Schanz and spoke with her often on the phone as they
had a strong bond.

Clara will always be remembered for her love of life which included lots
of laughter, being a little silly and her love of God.

A private service will be held at a later date.
