| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, June 30, 2021, p. A-5 Wilbur C. Langford August 22, 1927 ~ June 25, 2021 Wilbur C. Langford, 93, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2021, at Chandler Regional Medical Center, with his family by his side. Although he never married or had children of his own, he was the patriarch of our family, and he loved many of us like we were his own. Born in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son to Carrie and James Langford, and the middle child with two sisters, Nellie and Judy, who have all preceded him in death. He was a proud Korean War Veteran, who served in France for two years with the 83rd Construction Engineers Battalion. He returned home and relocated his family to Arizona. He was a hard- working, heavy equipment operator in Yuma, Arizona, for over 30 years. He moved to Wickenburg, Arizona, in 2015, and spent his last year in Maricopa, Arizona. He loved to go fishing, hunting, camping, play cribbage, and had a love for large dogs. He was known for his singing, his stories, and for making people laugh. He was always a provider to anyone who was in need. He will be remembered for the sacrifices he made for his family. He is survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and so many more lives that he has touched over the years. He will be deeply missed by many family and friends. The celebration of life ceremony for Wilbur will be held on July 18 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Humane Society of Yuma at 4050 South Ave 4 1/2 E, Yuma, Az 85365. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to sent to the Humane Society of Yuma or a shelter of your choice. |
