| Published by Today News herald on Jan. 16, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona (personal article, page 6A) >> Sept. 15, 1949 - May 9, 2021 << Barb Girard, 71, of Buffalo, Minnesota and long-time winter resident of Lake Havasu passed away from peritoneal cancer at home with her loved ones all nearby. Barb lived a beautiful life full of kindness, friendship, and love. Her generous spirit and beautiful smile would light up a room. She loved scrapbooking, making detailed cards for friends, trying new recipes, and golfing, hiking, playing cards, finding a good shopping deal. Barb lived life to the fullest and was never happier than when she was with her family, she was very proud of her children and grandchildren, and took great pride in being an active fan in everything they did. Barb and Russ were married for 50 wonderful years, and for over 20 of those years they wintered in Lake Havasu and enjoyed a large group of cherished friendships. Thank you Lake Havasu for allowing us to share your beautiful city and the abundance of activities offered by its warm and welcoming people.
