| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, December 8, 2021, p. A-4 Shannon Marie Musick, age 28, was born in Glendale on Feb. 5, 1993, and passed away on Nov. 21, 2021, from injuries she sustained during a traffic accident in rural Nebraska. Raised in Wickenburg, Shannon was a unique individual whose silly antics brought smiles and laughter to those who knew and loved her. Naturally gifted in music, Shannon was a self-taught musician and singer who began performing in venues at the tender age of 16, playing the guitar and singing solos, duets and backup vocals for a local hip hop band from Prescott Valley. More recently, Shannon supported the musical endeavors of her drummer brother Josh and his band 'I, Pariah' by attending shows and selling band merchandise. Shannon enjoyed making crafts that included wood-working, knitting, crocheting, and quilting; often gifting others with the treasures she created. Shannon cared deeply for those less fortunate and would give her last dime to someone in need; and was also known to provide assistance to injured animals, in which she would quietly rehabilitate and release back into the wild. Shannon's kindness is revealed in the fact that she is an organ donor and, even in death is giving back to those facing hardships. Greatly loved, Shannon is survived by her parents, Buddy and Cheryl Musick of Wickenburg; Grandmothers Rose Musick from California, and Donna Smith of Wickenburg; brother Brian Musick (Heather) of Wickenburg; her sister Janelle and brother Josh, and nieces and nephews Carlos and Brendon Lockett, Josiah Sanchez, Ayaden and Alexis Musick, Capri Musick, Jonah Snyder and her beloved son Emmett Mickle, as well as a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins. Shannon was preceded in death by her sister Misty, her brother Michael and two infant nephews Lincoln and Liam. A memorial service will take place at Mount Hope Assembly of God, 550 W. Penn Lane, Wickenburg on Friday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. with a Lord of the Rings Theme to honor Shannon. Please feel free to dress in medieval costumes if desired. A medieval style meal will be offered after services. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Humane Society of Wickenburg in Shannon's name. |
