| Published by Yuma Sun on Jan. 25, 2022 - Yuma, Arizona - Marlene LaRose of Yuma passed away on January 20, 2022. She was born on March 21, 1933 in Saskatchewan, Canada and her family later moved to British Columbia. She was the oldest of eight children and after graduating from high school, joined the Royal Canadian Air Force as a radar operator. While stationed in France, she met Albert LaRose and they were married in 1956. They had three daughters and two sons. While Albert was in the United States Air Force, they were stationed in California, Texas, Arizona and Hawaii. They retired from the Air Force to Yuma in 1972. Marlene and Al liked to travel. They fished in Mexico, would spend some summers in Canada and often hit the road in their RV. Later on they would spend summers in their cabin in the White Mountains to get away from the desert heat. Marlene is survived by three sisters and three brothers in Canada, daughter Shelley (Jon) Paulk of Cypress, TX, son Tom LaRose and daughter Rhonda LaRose of Yuma, AZ, four grandchildren - Jonathon (Stephanie) Paulk of Cypress TX, James (Melissa) Paulk of Cypress, TX, Kari LaRose (Ryan Schmelter) of Yuma, Steven LaRose of Yuma and eight great grandchildren.
