| Published by Today's News Herald from Jan. 29 to Jan. 30, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Mary Fern Dunson passed away peacefully, at the home of her best friend of 9 years, Penny Combs. Mary was born on January 17, 1929 in Texas. Mary and her beloved husband lived in Anchorage, Alaska until 2005. They then moved to Sunset Park in Lake Havasu City to retire. While in Havasu she met Penny, and they enjoyed playing Pinochle, Bunco, and planning and playing Bingo, with all of her friends at the Park. Mary made many friends at Sunset Park, and she will be deeply missed. Mary is survived by her sons, Joel Alter of California, and Terry and Kimmy Alter of Oregon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Dunson; son, Denny Alter; and nephew, Todd Alter. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Compassus Hospice: 1940 Mesquite Ave. Suite #1, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. There will be no service, per Mary's Request. Arrangements were placed in the care of Desert Lawn-Lake Havasu City. |
