| CHURCHVILLE, VA Joe Holman White, 83, passed away Saturday (January 29, 2022) in his home. Born September 8, 1938 in Yuma, Ariz., he was the son of Herbert and Grace (Holman) White. Joe was a graduate of Yuma High School. He was a produce truck driver for many years for Bruce Church Inc. and was a member of Western Growers and Teamsters Local 890. Joe had a great sense of humor and enjoyed fishing. He loved his dog, Brandi, whom he affectionately called my little girl. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, John White. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Gaylene (McCollum) White; and four stepdaughters, Kellie Plessner of Churchville, Denise White of Salinas, Calif., and Paula and Cheryl Dodge both of Winder, Ga. A graveside service will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Yuma. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Shenandoah, c/o Augusta Health Foundation, PO Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939.
