John Ray Bradbury, 55, left us on January 18, 2022.

John Ray Bashore was born on January 15, 1967 to Thelma Lorraine Magnus
at Troy, OH. John spent most of his childhood in Tacoma, WA where he
graduated from high school. He then attended college classes for another
year.

John met Bill Bradbury at age 18 and they remained together for 37
years. They were united in union on May 8, 2004 in Spokane, WA. They
lived in Spokane and Tacoma Washington, Vergas, Minnesota and Lake
Havasu City, Arizona. Recently, they have been summering at their cabin
in Minnesota and wintering in Arizona, but don’t ever call John a
snowbird, he was a sunbird. John worked in retail and was liked by
everyone he worked with.

John was known for his creativity and when he was planting a garden,
painting or assisting Bill with carpentry projects, John was meticulous
and used kind, gentle hands to put love and care into everything he did.
His favorite flowers to plant were Clematis and his hanging basket were
a beautiful addition to the back patio. John was the brains and Bill was
the muscle in many projects.

John was a peace maker who smiled kindly and liked to observe the world
around him. He was stoic but gentle, always kind to animals. If you were
rude, John would push back. He was a good conversationalist but listened
more than spoke. When he did speak people listened as it was important,
profound or a hysterical piece of humor. Bill will say, “John is not my
better half, he is my better whole”.

John is survived by his husband William Bradbury; brothers Rodger
(Debbie) Davis, Maurice “Dale” (Gloria) Bashore, Norma Bashore; nephew
James Bashore, Bryan Davis, Joshua Davis, Anthony Moses and Micah Moses;
nieces LaSheen Bashore , Shanae Bashore, Christina Drake, Mandy Davis
and April Berdecia, Lesley Bashore, Amy Bashore.

He was preceded in death by his mother, sister Carolyn Martin: brothers
Michael Bashore and Harold Bashore.

John will be missed by those who knew him and loved forever. Rest in
peace our gentle soul.
