| Published by Today's News Herald from Feb. 26 to Feb. 27, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Doris Gaerin, 95, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Hospice of Havasu Polidori House, in Lake Havasu City, with family by her side. Doris was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to Wilfred and Ludivina. She graduated high school and later attended cosmetology school and became the proud owner of a successful business, Towne Beauty Salon in Westport, Massachusetts. She relocated to San Diego in 1966 with her four children from her marriage to Henry Gaudreau. She continued in cosmetology, then moved into a data entry position and retired from National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) in San Diego, California. She moved from San Diego to Lake Havasu City in January 2019. Doris loved golf, bingo, painting, needlepoint, sewing, reading and always looking fashionable. She was a proud woman who lived a long, fulfilling life. Her life gave her witness to amazing changes, new inventions and advancements in technology. She embraced it all. She maintained her sharp mind and was feisty until the end. Doris was preceded in death by both parents, nine siblings, and son Wayne Dumais (Sheryl). She is survived by sisters Lillian Polselli and Germaine Baker, son Henry Gaudreau (Dodie), daughter Sharon Lawrence (Thomas), son Bruce Gaudreau, and Daughter Paula Gaudreau, along with eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family is grateful to Hospice of Havasu and the compassionate care received at Polidori House. |
