DOTTERER, Maureen Ellen

Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Thursday, June 25, 2009, p. B6 Dotterer, Maureen Ellen 74 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on June 20, 2009. Maureen was born July 29, 1934 in Syracuse, NY. She was a graduate of Assumption High School Class of 1952 and Syracuse University School of Nursing. Maureen worked in a variety of nursing positions but enjoyed most and excelled in her years in physician offices. Her giving, support and care for those in need were her most beautiful qualities. She lived in the Syracuse area until 1968 when she and her family moved to Arizona. She loved the mountains, desert picnics and treks with family and neighbors. Mrs. Dotterer was a past president of the Moon Valley Women's Club, and in working with children was a Red Cross swimming instructor and Scout Troop leader. Maureen was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed her many visits with relatives in Ireland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Domres and Mary Domres Lynch. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Robert Gilbert Dotterer, children Robert W. (Jeannette), Mark (Mary), Cindy Davis (Martin Huber), a brother William (Peggy) Domres, grandchildren Melissa, Thomas, Bobby G. Tatum and Rhen, and great-grandchild Lucy. Services are private.
