| Published by Today's News Herald from Mar. 19 to Mar. 20, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Jennie "Dolly" P. Emma Zucchelli, 91, of Lake Havasu City, AZ., passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, March 11, 2022. She was born on June 24, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA., to the late Salvatore and Eva Emma. Dolly was a graduate of BOK High School, Philadelphia. She worked many years as a custom drapery maker as well as a longtime associate for S & R Clothing. She moved to Southern California in the 1980's to operate luxury retail boutiques before settling in Lake Havasu City, AZin the 1990's. She was very active in her Church, Our Lady of The Lake, where she served as a volunteer in the community soup kitchen. Throughout her life, Dolly maintained a generous loving spirit and an active calendar. She made friends easily, and enchanted all who knew her with her stories, wisdom, and humor. She loved to cook and knit, but above all, she loved her family, especially her grand and great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Zucchelli; siblings, Michael Emma, Ercole Emma and Philip Emma; as well as her beloved eldest son, Francis Strampello; and nephew, Salvatore M. Emma. Dolly is survived by her daughter, Maryellen (Peter) Flaherty; son Salvatore "Sonny" Strampello; Grandchildren Danielle, Julian, Raina, Athena, Jonathan, Alisha, Giri, Chandra and Anjali, plus nine Great Grandchildren. Plans for a Mass and Celebration of life will be held in Philadelphia early summer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's foundation - Alzheimer's Association of America AFA https://alzfdn.org (866-232-8484).
