Louis Lugo Lechuga, age 78, went home on March 9th, 2022, in Yuma, AZ
surrounded by his family.

Louis was born (and raised) in Yuma, AZ on Maiden Lane.

Louis is survived by Helen M. Kenna, daughters; Sheila Labbe (Matthew)
and Janine Aytekin (Dennis), son; Louis C. Lechuga (Audrey) and his 4
children (Kyla, Rhea, Eviana, and Louis D.) and grandchild (Ximena),
sisters; Jessie De Anda and Felipa Ortiz, brother; Joe Lechuga, and many
additional stepchildren and their children (with whom he treated as his
own).

Louis worked most of his life, he started with picking in the fields
(from Yuma to Lodi, California) and washing dishes as a minor to working
in an ice plant, bar tending, insurance, sales, and many additional
jobs. A couple proud moments include becoming a Warehouse Manager for
Viking Office Products Inc. and becoming entrepreneur. As an
entrepreneur he was able to instill a wonderful work ethic in his
children's life. In the end he retired as a civil servant for the State
of Arizona.

Things he enjoyed include having conversations, storytelling, art,
reading history and keeping up with world events, cooking, automobiles,
the railroad, traveling, movies, meeting new people, and of course
sharing time and breaking bread with his family and loved ones. A fond
memory he would share was his love for playing baseball & football (in
high school) as a Yuma Criminal.

Louis is preceded in death by his father; Jesus Lechuga, mother; Armida
Lugo, sisters; Antonia Martinez, Elvira Lechuga, and Maria Lechuga,
brothers; Fermin Martinez, Cerilo (Gordo) Martinez, Paul Lechuga, Isidro
(Chilo) Lechuga, and Bruno Martinez.
