Glenda was born to Glen and Joy Spencer in Lewiston, Idaho on April 23,
1954 and passed away on March 11, 2022 after a short battle with breast
cancer.

She grew up in Lewiston, graduated from Lewiston High School and left
for college after graduation. She attended Business College in Spokane,
Washington and after graduating worked for North Coast Life Insurance
Company. In 1975 she and her best friend, Lori, decided to start a new
adventure and went to work for the FBI in Washington D.C.

In 1976 she met Richard, who was then stationed at Marine Corps Base
Quantico, Virginia. After dating only a short time, Richard asked Glenda
to marry him, and in her matter of fact style, she shrugged her
shoulders and said, Well, I guess I'm going to be a Marine wife. She
took on that role immediately and always supported Richard with all that
she had. Richard was transferred to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ in
1979, where both their children were born. Shortly after their son was
born, Richard's next transfer took them to Marine Corps Air Station
Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. While in Hawaii, Glenda taught herself to decorate
cakes, and she enjoyed decorating them for birthdays, promotions,
retirements, and special occasions. After spending four and a half years
in Hawaii, they were transferred to Marine Corps Air Station New River,
in Jacksonville N.C. While stationed in New River, Glenda played the
dual role which many military wives do, acting as Mom and Dad while
Richard served an unaccompanied tour on Okinawa from 90-91. She never
complained. In 1993 when Richard received his final promotion they were
transferred back to Yuma, and Glenda went to work for the Yuma Police
Department. After 20 years she retired from YPD and she looked forward
to traveling with Richard and seeing the sights all around the states.
While they didn't get to travel as much as they would have liked to, she
was able to take a few trips and enjoy a few of her golden years with
Richard before her passing.

Glenda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard, her two children
Angela and Andrew, as well as her grandchildren, Bryan, Ryder and Emery.
She is also survived by her great grandson Reid, whose eyes would
sparkle whenever he saw his Grammy. She is also survived by her older
brother Jerry and younger brother Jonathan, and many nieces and nephews.

She will always be remembered for her wicked good sense of humor, her
thoughtfulness and fierce loyalty to her family and friends.

Services will be held in the chapel at Desert Valley Mortuary, 138 S.
Ave. B in Somerton, Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 10:00 am, with a
reception immediately following at the Elks Lodge, 1917 W. 32nd St.
Yuma.
