Robert Mansfield Cox passed away in Lake Havasu City, AZ on March 14,
2022. Robert was born on October 17, 1936, in Denver, CO, to Paul Cox
and Vera Devilbiss. He served a total of 42 years in the military; 8
years in the Marine Corps and 34 years in the Army. He retired from the
Army as State Command Sergeant Major of Colorado Army National Guard;
the highest enlisted position one can achieve in the National Guard.

He married his wife, Phyllis L. Cox on July 16, 1960 in Los Angeles, CA.
Together, they had 3 children; sons, Darren Cox and Michael Cox, and
step-daughter, Alice Cooper. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, and
was a master of do-it-yourself projects. He was a devout Catholic, and
was a member of the National Guard Association, US Marine Corps, US
Army, and Colorado Army National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis; parents, Paul
Winston Cox and Vera Lucille Devilbiss, and 20 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Darren Cox, of Concord, NC, Michael Cox, of
Mesa, AZ, and step-daughter, Alice Cooper, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, as
well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
