| Published by Mohave Daily News Online from Apr. 8 to Apr. 9, 2022 - Bullhead City, Arizona - In memory of mom, Marianne Grant, age 85, a resident of Bullhead City, Arizona, was escorted into heaven on Friday, March 25, 2022 with her children by her side. She was born on December 17, 1936. In 1960 Mom left her home in Germany and arrived in California to marry and raise a family of six children with her soulmate Richard Dean Grant. "Home" is where Mom was. Mom loved to be busy. After she raised her children, she worked at various jobs: most recently she cleaned the offices of the Army recruiters who treated her with kindness and respect. Mom cherished the time spent with her grandkids, she loved Bingo, slots and playing cards with her longtime friends. Traveling to Germany to spend time with family and friends always put joy in her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dean Grant; and her son, Richard James Grant II. She is survived by her son, Gary Grant and his family; daughters, Diana Cardenas and her family, Selma Ponsell, Peggy Grant and Tracy Burnette and her family. It is impossible to describe in words how wonderful, kind, strong, brave and loving she was. She was the ROCK of our family and the best wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend! She was EVERYTHING to us and loved by ALL. She was always there for us when we needed her the most. We miss you so very much Mom! Rest in peace! |
