| Published by Yuma Sun on Apr. 8, 2022 - Yuma, Arizona - Shane Thomas, 26, passed away April 2, 2022 in Phoenix, AZ. Shane was born September 7, 1995 to Alicia Thomas and Carlos Leal. Shane Thomas was a member of the Quechan Tribe attended San Pasqual High School and Bill Manes. He was employed at the Quechan Casino, a job he enjoyed. Shane loved the time he spent with his daughter Eunice. He also enjoyed taking long walks while listening to his music, playing video games and watching anime. Shane had a great sense of humor and wherever he went he would put a smile on peoples faces. He will be greatly missed Shane is survived by his daughter, Eunice pearl Thomas; his papa, Phil Emerson and father Carlos Leal; uncles, Dylan Emerson, Andrew Leal, Chris (Gilbert yarrito) Emerson, Wilfred Emerson, Ed Hill, Donald Cachora, John Cachora; aunts, Lucy Emerson, Frankie Rivias, Audrey (Charlie) White, Alva Emerson, Marsha Hill, Alexis Cachora, Paula Hill; great aunt, Dorathy Montague; great uncle, Victor Curran; great aunt, Debbie Hill; grandmother, Sharon Navarro; sisters, Kaylin, Josiah, Ehren, Isabella, Aiyanna, Destiny; brothers, Leon, Elijah, Elias, Kain Murrieta. Preceding Shane in death are his mother, Alicia Thomas; grandmother, Jackie Emerson; great grandmother, Judy Hill and Lucille Emerson and great grandfather, Elmer Emerson; uncles, Aaron Thomas, Phil Brick T Emerson, Nate Emerson, Alex Cachora, Sam Hill, Alvis Emerson Sr., Leon Hill, Alvis (Junebug)Emerson, Avis Emerson Black and Gwen Hill. Pallbearers will be Kiko Luna, Andrew White, Azalia Allen, Keith Twist, James Emerson, Kyle Gilmore, Adrian Lopez, Rashawn Raymer, Andrew Leal, Martine Pretty-Bird. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dylan Emerson, Wilfred Emerson, Lavar Twist, Charlton White, Antonio Emerson, Kirk Nerva, Ed Hill, Donald Cachora, Chris Emerson, Robert Emerson, Nate Emerson, Chance Solis, Seth Nerva. Services will be held at Yuma Mortuary on Saturday, April 9, 2002 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Cremation will be at the Quechan Cry House on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 5:00 am.
