He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane Spease; his children, Duane A. Spease II, Da'mon A. Spease and Danielle Pettit; as well as his 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Carla Collins and Margaret Bailey, a nephew, and a host of nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Tawana L. Trimble, and his youngest son, Devon A. Spease.
