Donalee Elizabeth Sebastian, 83, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022,
at her home in Lake Havasu City in the loving arms of her daughter
Stephanie. She was born on June 14, 1938, in Burlington, Des Moines,
Iowa.
Donalee resided in Lake Havasu City for the past 26 years. She and her
husband relocated to Lake Havasu City from Norwalk, California.
Donna met Vern who turned out to be the love of her life in high school,
but they took different roads in life. In the spring of 1990, fate
brought them back together in a chance meeting at a McDonald's of all
places. They spent the next 21 years together until his passing in July
of 2011.
Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and
caregiver. She will always be remembered for her loving kindness and
selflessness. She would open her house up to anyone in need. She never
knew a stranger and would do anything within her power to help someone
in need.
Donna and her sisters loved playing Bingo. They went on an annual trip
to Laughlin that continued even after she relocated to Lake Havasu City.
When her husband was alive, they would enjoy Bingo together.
Donna worked at a drug store when she lived in Lake Isabella. She spent
many years as a caregiver to her son Johnny after a motorcycle accident
left him paralyzed. In her fifties she decided she wanted a new career
and went to Pharmacy Technician school. She then went to work at
multiple pharmacies as a pharmacy tech.
Donna is survived by daughters, Stephanie Burke, Laurie Wakefield, Julie
