Marguerita Marlene Flores Baldonado Brown was born December 5, 1935 in
Los Angeles, Calif. Rita was surrounded by her family when she went to
Heaven on Friday, April 29, 2022 in Phoenix, Ariz. Rita was born as a
twin and into a family of eight brothers and sisters. Rita had four
children, Sam, Tina, Steve and Kim; seven grandchildren, Crystal, Duke,
Brooke, Daniel, Andrew, Jared and Robbie; seven great-grandchildren,
Alyssa, Frank, Dominic, Sophia, Liberty, Zoe and Gracie.

Growing up Rita went to San Gabriel Mission and Alhambra High School in
Calif. Rita was first married at age 17 and gave birth to her four
children that she loved very much. She would later divorce in 1962. In
1963 she was introduced to this man, Bob Brown, by her twin sister,
Midge at the bowling alley one evening. The rest was history, Rita would
end up marrying Bob, the love of her life in March of 1966. Bob adopted
the children and they later moved to Arcadia, Calif. to start their
lives together.

They enjoyed bowling, road trips, and camping. She had a long career at
(Pacific Bell) AT&T but as the children started to graduate high school
Bob and Rita started to think of their future, so they decided to move
to Bullhead City, Ariz. in 1975. They started a new construction co.
called Apple Construction. The first building they constructed would be
the new business of Tortilla Flats operated by Rita, Midge, Tina Lozoya
and daughter Kim.

Bob and Rita would later rejoin the Catholic Church, St. Margaret Mary's
in Bullhead City through the efforts of Fr. Cadapa. They would later
travel with Father to Europe and Sri Lanka. Bob and Rita would later
enjoy traveling all over the United States. They also enjoyed all the
Kiwanis Club cruise trips. They also purchased the family cabin in
Williams, Ariz. to enjoy some cool weather when it was hot in Bullhead
City.

Rita has celebrated lots of accomplishments in her life. First of all,
she was the Rock of our family along with being a wonderful Wife,
Mother, Nana and Friend. She joined the Bullhead Chamber of Commerce and
became Director. She was the President of the Laughlin River Belles
until it disbanded. Rita would later be the 2nd female member of the
Bullhead City Kiwanis Club once the Kiwanis Club changed the bylaws to
allow women to join the club. She quickly got involved in the community
and would later become the President and then the Lieutenant Governor
and supervised the clubs from Kingman, Ariz. to Blythe, Calif.

She loved spending time with her family, being involved in the
community, gambling and playing cards. On one of their travels, they
went to Alaska where Rita caught a 225 lb. Halibut kind of by herself.
Words can not describe how very wonderful, kind, strong, brave, giving
and loving she was.

I will miss her and our life together - Forever, Bob.
