| Published by Mohave Daily News Online from May 22 to May 24, 2022 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Randall Wayne Loman, age 70, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Payson, Ariz., due to complications of pancreatic surgery, on Monday, September 28, 2020 (his Dad's Birthday). He was born October 5, 1949 in Saginaw, Mich. Randy graduated from Buena Vista High School in 1967. He enlisted in the US Navy and served as a cook on the USS Sanctuary as Commissaryman 2nd Class, during Vietnam. Randy met the love of his life, Sallie in Boulder City, Nev. They were married in Boulder City in 1971 and eventually moved to Arizona, where they spent 49 years supporting each other as devoted soulmates. Randy was a Maintenance Supervisor for Southern California Edison Co. at Mohave Generating Station in Laughlin, Nev. and at Nevada Power in Las Vegas, Nev. for 32 years. He retired to Payson, Ariz. where he found pleasure in the beauty of nature and many friendships. His passions were hunting, fly-fishing, working on his 1971 Chevelle, and helping others when and wherever needed, especially through Payson Flycasters, High Country Garden Club, and the local Humane Society of Arizona. In all aspects of his life, he was a hard worker committed in getting the job done right. Randy was a member of the Colorado River High School Board, a Mohave Valley Little League Coach, a charter member of the River Valley High School Booster Club, a board member of Mohave Elementary PTA, and served on the Board of Parish Services of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed sharing his love of cooking, hunting, fishing, feeding the ducks, and baking peach and rhubarb pies with his grandchildren. His laugh and smile were infectious, always creating a memory. He loved telling his grandkids stories to peak their curiosity and memories. All of his grandkids will have memories of cutting grandpa's hair, which was a challenge for even the best barber. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter; parents, Robert Wayne and Virginia Koeplinger Loman. He is survived by his wife, Sallie Loman; children, Nathaniel Wayne (Kristi) Loman and Nichole (Mike) Arko; sister, Sue (Allen) Feltner; brother, John (Barbie) Loman; grandchildren, Lucca Wayne Loman, RaeLee Loman, Johnathan Loman, Sophia Loman, Natalie Arko and Samantha Arko; as well as numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. A Celebration of Life is planned at 2 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Mount Cross Lutheran Church, Payson, Ariz. All are invited to attend. |
