Kathryn Jane (Boul) Wilhelmy

Longtime Yuma resident Kathryn Jane Boul Wilhelmy passed away peacefully
at home on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the age of 88. Jane was born in
Sedalia, Missouri on September 4, 1933, to Claude and Kathryn
(Kuckelman) Boul.

Jane attended Sacred Heart High School in Sedalia, Missouri. She studied
music at the College of St Teresa in Winona, MN and Webster College in
Webster Groves, MO.

While living in St Louis, she met her future husband John Wilhelmy, then
a student at St Louis University. They married in April 1955. Upon
John's graduation from dental school they moved to California while John
served as a dentist in the U.S. Navy at Camp Pendleton. In 1958 she and
John settled in Yuma, Arizona.

Jane was an accomplished pianist and vocalist and had a lifelong love of
music and the arts. From the time of her youth she enjoyed performing in
many piano and vocal recitals, at Church events, and in Musical Theater.

Jane's greatest love was her home and family. She was happiest when
surrounded by her loved ones and many friends. The Wilhelmy home was
always open for friends to stop by for a visit and was also a place of
many large memorable gatherings. Friends often joined Jane around the
piano while she led them in spirited renditions of the classics. She was
passionate about reading, rose gardening, and loved baking special
desserts and birthday cakes for her family.

Jane was a devout Catholic and a woman of great faith. She was a
tireless advocate for the sanctity of human life. She always will be
remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and faithful friend.

Jane is survived by her children Christopher (Julie) Wilhelmy, Julia
Wilhelmy, Melissa (William)Gallo, Anne (David) Boers, Patricia (Minaz)
Bhayani, Mary (Patrick) Rabun, Andrew Wilhelmy, Matthew Wilhelmy,
Margaret (Christopher) Tuttle; and 20 grandchildren.

Also surviving Jane are her siblings, Claude (Rita) Boul, Regina
Moellenbeck, Firmin Boul, John Boul and Harry (Geraldine) Boul; and many
nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Dr John R. Wilhelmy.

Visitation at Johnson Mortuary 6:00-8:00 pm. Rosary at 7:00 pm on
Thursday, June 2nd, 2022.

Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on
Friday June 3rd at 9:00 am.
