| Published by Mohave Daily News Online on Jun. 1, 2022 - Bullhead City, Arizona - John Rubalcava, age 75, was a generous, smart, and kind man. Born in Buckeye, Ariz. on February 25, 1947 to John Yabbra and Jessie Ortiz. He departed on Friday, May 13, 2022 in the city of Las Vegas. John resided in Mohave Valley for 39 years. The Rubalcava Family owned and operated the MIS AMIGOS Mexican Restaurant on Barrackman Road for 12 years. John then went on to have a career with Summits Realty as a carpentry/journeyman which he truly enjoyed. John, a proud veteran of the US Army from August 23, 1967 to April 12, 1969 will be honored for his services and survivor of the Vietnam War. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved fishing, carpentry work, working on his 1900 Chevy C10, and attending all of his grandchildren's extra curricular activities. He was a spiritual man that attended Harvest Bible Church and The First Baptist Church in Mohave Valley, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Trina Rubalcava. John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elise Rubalcava; four children, Diana Reyes, David Ortiz, Anthony Rubalcava, and Nichole Fierrero. There will be a funeral service held at 10 am on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Harvest Bible Church, 6870 Highway 95, Mohave Valley, AZ 86440. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 S. Ranchero Ln., Mohave Valley, AZ 86440 after church services. His family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harvest Bible Church on behalf of the family.
