Dorothy B. Carroll
June 24, 1925 - April 30, 2022

Dorothy B. Carroll was born in Windsor, Canada. The plan was for her to be born in Detroit, but her mom had not received her green card in time. Six weeks later, the family moved to Detroit where mom lived. She graduated from Cooley High School. After graduation, she worked for Essex Wire where she wired dashboard for WWII military planes until she was given permission from her boss to marry Roland (Louie) Carroll. In 1947, they had their first child Ray in Holly, Michigan. Health reasons brought Mom's parents to Wickenburg and mom and dad followed shortly thereafter. Louie started his career working for Harry Cook Construction. Dad remained in Wickenburg until his death in 1991. Mom was moved into assisted living in 2012 until her death.

Dorothy leaves behind her children Ray (Normagyle) of Quartzsite and Susan (Bill) Fox of Wickenburg; grandchildren Lynette (Todd) Roper, Bill (Leah) Fox, Emily (Eric) Meins, Robert (Machelle) Fox; six great-grandchildren, Amanda Fox, Ashlee (Luke) VanderZander, Katie (Eoin) Tinney, Haley Roper, Christopher Meins, and Karissa Meins and one great-grandchild Braxton Fox.

Dorothy will be joining her parents, Walter and Gladys Champlin, husband, Louie, brother, Bruce Champlin, daughters-in-law Linda and Helen and nephew David Champlin.

A celebration of life is planned for the fall when the weather is cooler.
