| Published by Today's News Herald on Jun. 5, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Jack Edward Garnett passed away in his home on May 31, 2022. He was a wonderful, caring, and loving husband, father and grandfather. Jack, like a lot of Lake Havasu City residents, started out as a snowbird, splitting his retirement between Lake Havasu City and Sun Valley, Idaho. Eventually, he and his wife, Joan, made the move to be full-time Havasu residents. Jack spent many hours visiting hospice, assisted living facilities and schools with his therapy dog, Buddy, and occasionally with his horse, Smokey. In his younger years, Jack enjoyed pretty much everything outdoors. He was an avid runner and horseback rider, competing in Levi's Ride and Tie, in addition to other competitions. Jack is preceded in death by his parents; Harry and Hilda Garnett, and brother; George Garnett. He is survived by his wife; Joan Garnett, two daughters; Pamela Charlton and Laura Davey, and five grandchildren; Dominique Price, Corey Charlton, Cheryl Charlton, Sarah Layton, and Ryan Price. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. A service will be held at Christ Church at a later date.
