Thomas Dempsey Partin, Jr., born on Dec. 9, 1928, to Thomas Dempsey Partin and Florence West Partin in Gary Indiana, went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2022.

Tom, a Navy veteran who served on the USS Baltimore, married his wife, Bertha, in 1955 and moved his young family from Ohio to Phoenix in 1963 where he began his career as an electrician with IBEW Local 640.

Tom was hard working, but in his spare time, loved the outdoors and took his family on many road trips to explore Arizona. He also enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with friends and family. Later in life, he pursued his dream of flying by building and flying his own airplanes and creating a home in Morristown, Ariz. where he resided for the past 21 years.

Tom was an active grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and tinkering in his hangar. He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha, his five children (James, Ronald, Mary, Rebecca and John), 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Cook in Zanesville, OH.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 9 at 10 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery in Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory may be made to Summit Wellness Foundation Donate--Summit Healthcare Services (summithcs.org).
