| Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory Wickenburg, Arizona www.wickenburgfuneralhome.com Violet P. Sorenson, 91, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Violet (Vi) was born in Oslo, Minnesota, on May 20, 1931. Vi enjoyed selling real estate for a few years, but found her true passion in pilot car running for her husband, Oscar, who had his own mobile home transporting company in Riverside Calif., Sorenson Trucking. During retirement, she and her husband moved to Wyoming for a few years, and then after Oscar's passing in 2015, she moved to Wickenburg, Ariz. to be with family. She was part of the Sons of Norway group for years in Southern California, and stayed in touch with the branch out of Banning, Calif. She loved to quilt, sew, crochet and also traveled to Norway twice, where she still has family. Vi was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heidi, and also her beloved husband of 60 years, Oscar J Sorenson. She is survived by her five children, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Vi (mom) will be deeply missed and we know she is home now with the Lord. |
