Robert “Bob” Alfred O’Connor, 84, was born July 3, 1937 and died June
22, 2022 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Bob was born in Denver, Colorado to Myrtle and Robert O’Connor. After
graduating from Lakewood High School, he joined the US Marine Corps and
served four years. During that time, he met the love of his life, Ann
Kathryn Scott from El Sereno, California. Bob and Ann were married on
April 13, 1958 in El Sereno, California. Bob and Ann recently celebrated
their 64th wedding anniversary. Bob and Ann had two daughters, Laura and
Vicki.
Once discharged from the USMC, Bob joined the Monterey Park Police
Department, where he reached the rank of sergeant. He also became a
detective. He retired in January 1986. After retiring, they moved to
Bullhead City, Arizona, where Bob eventually became a Mohave County
Constable. He retired from the County Office in June 2002.
Bob and Ann moved to Kingman, Arizona in 2004 to enjoy cooler weather.
Bob is survived by his wife, Ann O’Connor; his daughters, Laura Tusa and
husband Anthony and their four sons, Anthony, David, Jonathan (wife
Hannah) and Matthew (wife Skylar), and daughter Vicki Kawano and her
three children – Kailee Asher (husband Jason), Nicklaus Kawano (wife
Jessica) and McKenzie Kawano. Bob and Ann have eight great-grandchildren
and four great children with marriage for a total of 12 great-
grandchildren, plus several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother Myrtle Mary Brand, sister
Patricia Williams and niece Diane Craig.
