Judy Ritt, 82, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2022, surrounded by
her loving family.

Judy was born in Libertyville, Illinois on Dec. 9, 1939 to David Ransom
and Retabell (Zermer) Ransom. She attended Libertyville High School and
then Mueller School of Beauty, where she received her hairdresser
license at age 22. She worked as a professional hairdresser at Shear
Fashion in Libertyville, Illinois for many years. Judy also worked in
the office of the family business, Cooper Stair Co, for several years,
where she met the love of her life, Jack Ritt. Jack and Judy married in
1974 and built their dream home in Libertyville while working and
raising two daughters. They resided in Libertyville until they retired
to Lake Havasu City in 1997.

Judy exuded happiness and was always smiling. She loved reading,
walking, dining out, shopping, NASCAR and the color RED. She enjoyed
needlepoint, sewing, puzzles, singing and learned how to play the
guitar. She especially loved spending time with family and friends. She
and Jack added a "Cowboy Room" addition to their home in Lake Havasu
City due to their collections and fondness of Southwest artifacts. Judy
touched many lives with her bright personality and kind hearted spirit.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband Jack Ritt (2019), mother
Retabell Cooper (2005) and stepfather Frank Cooper (1997). Judy is
survived by her brother; Jim (Debbie) Cooper, two daughters; Cheri (Jim)
Tropple and Cyndi (Ed) Quinlan, four grandchildren; Katie (Darren)
Marinelli, Daniel Tropple, Cameryn Quinlan and Chase Quinlan; sister-in-
law Ruth Ann (Art) Fredericks and many nieces/nephews whom she all loved
very much.

Judy will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. Per her wishes,
there will be no formal service. She was entrusted in the care of Desert
Lawn Funeral Home, Lake Havasu City.

The family would like to thank River Valley Hospice for their care and
kindness.
