Wendell Shirk of Fort Mohave left this world, Heaven bound as he would
say, to see Jesus on June 24, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born in
Montebello, California on March 28, 1946 to Wendell and Margaret Shirk.
He attended schools in Montebello and was active in many school
activities and developed lifelong friendships.

26, 1966 to June 29, 1969. He served his country honorably in Vietnam
and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal,
Bronze Star and Vietnam Campaign Medal. After leaving the service he
spent 25 successful years in mortgage banking. After retiring, he moved
to Lake Havasu City, where he worked part time as a Realtor.

He loved God, his country and his family meant the world to him. He
enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating, golfing, being a beach bum,
cooking, and reading, NASCAR, The Diamondbacks, traveling, camping and
living life to the fullest!

Shannon, his son Darrel Shirk, stepdaughters Lori Mitchell and Brenda
Hyde, grandchildren Trevor Gazaway, Maddie Gazaway, Joe Shannon, Noah
