Victor Banaszak born Sept. 20, 1935, died June 8, 2022. He was the
oldest of five siblings, born in Whiting, Indiana, two of his younger
brothers Phillip and Marion, preceded him in death. His younger sister
Carol (Banaszak) Ross, and youngest brother James Banaszak still live in
Indiana.
Victor served in the military from 1954 to 1957, married 9 days later to
Claire (Cormier) Banaszak for 65 years. They raised three sons, Robert,
John and Glen, all residing in Lake Havasu City.
He retired from Republic Steel in Chicago and moved to Lake Havasu City
in 1978, later retiring from London Bridge Resort as landscape manager.
His equipment was given to his son Glen and wife Gidget of Affordable
Landscaping Maintenance to carry on the family trade.
He enjoyed fishing, football, baseball, and hockey. Having attended many
Notre Dame games, they were his favorite college team. He also liked
video games and many TV programs, he was mostly a stay-at-home type of
guy.
Left behind also are five grandchildren, Robert, Paige, Jonelle,
Makailyn, and Jordan, great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Violet and Alice.
He donated his body to Science Care for the advancement of medicine. His
wife will do the same. Hospice of Havasu was a godsend in his last 30
days, they were wonderful and caring. We're thankful for all the cards
and condolences from friends, relatives and neighbors.
