| Published by Mohave Daily News Online from Aug. 14 to Aug. 21, 2022 - Bullhead City, Arizona - John "JJ" L. Jenkins, age 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2022, in Fort Mohave, Arizona. JJ was born in 1957 in Whittier, California and was a 1976 graduate of El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, California. JJ worked for Kaiser Steel and the Railroad prior to landing his dream job with the Sheriff's Department in 1981. JJ was a proud Sheriff Deputy for 33 years until his retirement in 2014. JJ loved his family and spending time with friends. He enjoyed the ocean, mountains, desert plants and as a pet lover enjoyed his beloved cats. JJ was very artistic and enjoyed photography, playing the piano, writing, creating art with drawing, painting, and developing Bunco flyers and greeting cards. JJ will be sadly missed by those who knew him. He was a thoughtful, compassionate and an optimistic individual in all that he did. He had the ability to make all those around him feel comfortable so they could just be themselves. JJ was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Jenkins; and his four beloved kitties, Smokie, BillyBoy, Snug, and Kitty Witty. He is survived by his father, Dick Jenkins; his wife, Helena "Nina"; his three children, Jason, Julie and spouse Dylan, and Joshua; grandchildren, Kyleah, Kent, and Samantha; sister, Tracy; and nephew, Neil and spouse Jennifer. A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Los Lagos Clubhouse, 6102 Bella Vista Drive, Fort Mohave, Arizona 86426. The Memory of JJ will always be in our hearts. May his memory be for a blessing. |
