Beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend Arlene Tizzone
Heinzmann passed away in Bullhead City, Arizona on Saturday, July 9,
2022.

Born in the Bronx, New York on September 20, 1936, Arlene lived also in
Connecticut, California, and Florida, finally calling Bullhead City,
Arizona her home for the past 20 years. Arlene was the mother of four by
age 24 in Connecticut and graduated San Jose State University in
California with a bachelor's and master's degree in Psychology when she
was 40. She then embarked on a successful professional career in Human
Resources. Her career took her to live in Monterey and Napa, California
and then Miami, Florida.

Arlene became widely recognized in her industry as an expert in the
burgeoning development of the company-sponsored retirement plan, known
today ubiquitously as the 401K. Upon retirement, Arlene split her time
between her Florida and Arizona homes, visiting family and friends
during her seasonal migration. Arlene traveled the world, enjoying her
time in Europe, Africa, and South America.

Arlene raised four children with her then husband, Lawrence Heinzmann,
in Connecticut, New York, and California, where she actively
participated in her children's lives: helping support school functions,
sports team endeavors, and family events. Banana splits were on the
dinner menu when heat waves hit in San Jose, California. The annual
family camping trips that bookended between sport seasons and the start
of school took the family as far north as Vancouver, Canada, east to the
Grand Canyon, and south reaching Needles, California. These trips
started initially in the old red Buick station wagon that needed water
as it climbed the Tehachapi's to the Ford LTD with AC, wood side panels,
and back jumper seats. Arlene helped start the gourmet dinner club in
San Jose, Calif. where neighborhood couples would rotate monthly hosting
duties for an evening of cocktails, fine food, wine and desserts
typically ending with music and a game of cards. Arlene was famous for
her handknitted Christmas stockings and her annual Christmas letter sent
to family and friends.

Arlene became a full-time resident in Bullhead City later in life when
she retired. She would love seeing family and friends at her home and
enjoying the local attractions like jet skiing on the river, the Go-Kart
Arcade, and the casinos. Arlene would always volunteer to entertain her
grandchildren while her kids had some "adult time". Arlene was a driving
organizer and participant in the service club social scene in Bullhead
City. Helping lead the social functions of the Fun Seekers, Elks, and
Moose social clubs Arlene developed many dear friends. She was an active
participant in the shuffleboard, card, and dice games circuit. She would
take her friends on road trips to Mexico. Travel with family and friends
included Cruises in Mexico and the Caribbean, Safaris in Africa, and
trips to Europe.

Arlene is preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Joseph
Tizzone.

Arlene leaves behind her children, Lawrence Heinzmann III., Lorene
Nielsen, Joseph Heinzmann and James Heinzmann; sisters, Denise and
Joette; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A celebration of Arlene's life is being planned in Bullhead City, AZ and
California for family and friends. In lieu of flowers her family
requests donations be made to your favorite charity in her name.
