>> WAYNE ELDON GODDARD <<
After 75 turns around the sun and over 40 years in gaming, Bullhead City
has lost one of its own. On Thursday, June 30, 2022, Wayne entered his
rest and joined his waiting family there. He was born September 8, 1946.
Wayne hired on at The Cal-Neva Lodge in Lake Tahoe in 1969 and moved on
to raise his family in Carson Valley, working at the Nugget and the
Ormsby House in Carson City for over 15 years. After a few years in
Jackpot, he landed in Bullhead City over 30 years ago and worked for the
Pioneer and the Riverside.
Wayne was a nationally recognized swimming and water polo champion
during his college years, and it was his passion to teach children (as
young as six months old!) how to swim.
He is survived by his two children, Wayne and Michelle; four
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He will be remembered for his charismatic charm, his generous humor, his
resonant voice, and his lifelong faith in God. The end of one of the
most unique generations is upon us.
The family gathered at 6 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2022 in Bullhead City to
observe a private celebration of Wayne's life.
