A-5 It is with great sorrow that we, his family, must announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on July 6, 2022. Coke was born in Cleveland, Ohio on Jan. 3, 1939. He moved with his mother, step-father and siblings to Phoenix in 1953 where he continued his education at Carl Hayden High School. In 1956 he joined the U.S. Air Force where he served until 1960 as a jet mechanic on the U2 Spy Planes. When he left the service he decided to enter school to become a carpenter. He married, had four children, a boy, a girl, and twin boys and was subsequently divorced. In 1971 he went to work for Del E. Webb Construction Co. where he quickly rose up through the ranks to become a general foreman and one of his duties was to go into the office for various things. It was there that he met his future wife, Romelle McGuffin Mallicoat who was also employed there. They were married in 1972. Romelle had four daughters from a previous marriage and so they became a large blended family. On April 15, 2022, they celebrated their 50th anniversary. Soon after Coke and Romelle decided that he should go into his own business, Coke Constuction Co. was born. He was a specialty contractor who bid and did work for general contractors. His specialty was wood framing. In the years ahead he framed many schools, shopping centers, fast food and other restaurants and even a couple of golf clubs. In later years he started doing business in Prescott and Prescott Valley where his sons lived. They did mostly houses there but still some commercial work as well. During that time he, his sons, and various friends and relatives were also building a home in Wickenburg on land donated by his in-laws, Lorene and Earl "Mac" McGuffin. The Costanzi's moved into the home in 1991. Coke loved fishing, hunting and just generally being outdoors. He taught all of the kids to water-ski and we spent many happy times at the lakes or camping in the woods. He also always had some type of project going on at home because he was unable to be still for very long. He also loved his big family very much and we all loved him and will miss him dearly. Coke was preceded in death by his parents, his step-brother Jim Martel and his step daughter Kristi Mallicoat Quintana. He is survived by his wife, Romelle, his son Craig (Pam), his daughter Penni, twin sons Keith (Stacy) and Kevin, his step daughters Lori Mick, Sharin Mallicoat and Jennifer Gerard (George), his half-sister and half-brother Michelle Costanzi Sheppard and Michael Costanzi, and 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life for him in the fall on a date to be announced later.
