He was born on October 15, 1986, a resident of the Quechan Ft. Yuma Indian Reservation throughout his life. A.J. attended high school at San Pasqual and was employed for the past thirteen years as a valet for the Quechan Casino Resort. A.J. was a Dallas Cowboys fanatic. The simplest of pleasures in life such as playing baseball with his buddies, spending time with close friends, and everyday life with the family brought joy to A.J. You will always be loved, forever missed and never forgotten. Augustine is survived by his lifetime companion, Estallene Tom, and their children, Jacob Herrera and August Herrera; mother, Amy Clarise Herrera; sisters, Jessica Paddock-Dominguez (Alexis), Charmaine Paddock; uncle, Andrew Paddock; great aunts, Marilyn Dewey, Esther Standifer, Dianne Moccasin, Joann Crespin, Abby Cortiz, Barbara Levy, Olivia Jose; sisters, Lynette Herrera (Aaron), Caroline Herrera, Heather Herrera (Alex), Joseph Herrera Jr., Joanna Herrera and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his father, Augustine C. Paddock; grandparents, Joseph and Donna Herrera, Winifred Levy and Earl Paddock; great grandparents, William Dewey, Pearl Hippah Escalanti, Lawrence Levy and Grace Menta Levy. Uncles, Joseph E. Herrera, Gerald Dewey and Roderick Kelly; aunts, Rosalinda Dewey and Darlene Dewey. Viewing will be held at Yuma Mortuary on Saturday, August 27, 2022, 8:30 am to 9:30 am. Tribal Ceremonial Rites will begin at 5:00 pm at the Quechan Indian Reservation Big House with cremation on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 5:00 am. Pallbearers are Joseph E. Herrera Jr., Aaron Juan, Albert Solorio Jr., William Murrietta, Julio Sestiaga, Alexis Dominguez, Eric Juan, Angel Medel, Taylor Menta, and Edgar Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers are Andrew Paddock, Arlie Emerson, Larry Hammond, Lionel Hammond, Reggie Antone, Levi Jose, Wendell Jose, Vernon Jose, Emilio Koteen Sr., Orlando Crespin, Steve Coriz, Neil Marley, Ricardo Villa, and Matthew Bell.
