| Published by Today's News Herald on Aug. 28, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Ruben Adline Padilla passed away on Aug. 10, 2022 at age 91 in Lake Havasu City. He was born in San Rafael, New Mexico on May 5, 1931 to Zachery Padilla and Teresa Ortiz. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Padilla, in Oakland, California. They spent 61 beautiful years together. They loved traveling with each other. They loved dancing and could be seen at any wedding "cutting a rug". He worked as a maintenance mechanic and spent his days volunteering with his wife at the Lake Havasu Senior Center and at St. Vincent De Paul. He was a member of the Elks, the Eagles, and Knights of Columbus. He started the Men's Cancer Group of Lake Havasu City. Ruben was big in politics in Norwalk but also ran the Norwalk Central Little League. He was a wonderful father, who loved and stood by his children no matter what. Ruben is preceded in death by his beautiful wife; Mary Ann, his parents; Zachery and Teresa, and his siblings; Margaret, Donald, Harold, and Orlando. He is survived by sons Ruben (Debi) and John (Lin), daughters; Theresa, Elizabeth, and Esther (Mike), brother Pat, sister Viola, 4 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will take place at Covenant Church, 113 Acoma Blvd on Sept. 1, 2022 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lake Havasu Senior Center Meals on Wheels Program.
