Hess, age 96, a 52-year resident of Mohave Valley, Arizona passed away in the early morning on Thursday, August 22, 2022 from natural causes. He was born on May 24, 1930 in Fort Madison, Iowa. He was an Engineer for BNSF Railway Company. He hired out in 1955 and retired in 1995 after 40 years of service. Bob was a quiet man, soft spoken and kind hearted, he enjoyed the outdoors. He could grow anything fix anything, and build anything: he never needed any plans, he always had them in his head. He was a true Jack of all trades. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette M. Hess. Bob is survived by his three sons, Jonathan "Fred" Hess and wife Michele of Mohave Valley, Arizona, Herbert "Herb" W. Hess of Bullhead City, Arizona, and Timothy "Tim" L. Hess and wife Charlotte of Mohave Valley, Arizona; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Robert's name to the Alzheimer's Association. There will be a private ceremony at the family residence.
