BUGE, Rita T.

Rita T. Buge, 86, passed away Nov. 29, 2008 in Fountain Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Buge in 2000. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Rita was a homemaker residing in Fountain Hills for 15 years. Rita was a member of the Church of Ascension Catholic Church where she and her husband Bill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1999. Rita was an avid bowler and golfer. She was a Wyoming State Champion bowler and a National Doubles Champion. Her other love was playing bingo at the Fort with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Cathy Buge, a former Fountain Hills School Board member, Fountain Hills; a son William Buge (Debbie) of Bountiful, Utah; sisters Rose Palmer of St. Louis, and Ann Burger of Mountain Home, Ark.; her grandchildren Brian (Bri) of Omaha, Neb., Tiffany Buge of Bountiful, Utah, Jeff Higgins of Mesa, Amanda Higgins of Mesa, and one great-grandchild Madison Buge, Omaha, Neb. Visitation was at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary, 12065 N. Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills, Friday, Dec. 5, 2008. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 6, at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa. Published in The Fountain Hills Times December 3, 2008.
