Bill Harmony Dies Suddenly
Former Resident of Prescott and Intimate Friend of Late J. A. Jaeger and
H. C. Story, Drops Dead at Phoenix Home
William F. Harmony, former member of the Santa Fe railroad engineering
staff here, one-time manager of the company boarding house, and for many
years a close friend of the late J. A. Jaeger, former division engineer,
and the late H. C. Storey, former suerintendent of the division,
yesterday dropped dead of heart failure in the yard of his home in
Phoenix, it was learned here yesterday morning by Mrs. Jaeger. He had
been afflicted with heart trouble for some time, it was said.
Mr. Harmony for 20 years was a resident of Prescott, and during his life
here was closely associated with Prescott's foremost railroad men, who
met their death a short time ago in the tragic accident near Wickenburg.
Friends of the three men yesterday recalled that their intimacy had been
almost like that of Dumas' Three Musketeers.
Like his two friends, Mr. Harmony had long been a member of the Elks
lodge, here and later in Phoenix. He had retired from active work about
a year before his death. He was secretary-treasurer of the Phoenix
Engineering & Construction company. He is survived by his widow and one
son.
