| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, September 14, 2022, p. A-5 Helen Marie Voehl passed away peacefully on Sept. 4, 2022, at her home in the company of her loved ones. She was 88 having been born on April 3, 1934, in Inwood, NY, the daughter of John and Elsie Catropa. She was married in 1954 and resided in Long Island, NY, until moving to Wickenburg with her family in the summer of 1970, making Wickenburg her permanent home. Prior to her retirement she was an involved member of the retail business community in Wickenburg for more than 30 years, having been the founding partner of the Mind's Eye Gallery in Scottsdale in the 1980s;and was owner of retail stores GRIT, GRIT TOO!, the Helen Voehl Gallery and the Lady Bead Seller, all formerly in Wickenburg. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, William Robert Voehl, son and daughter-in-law Scott and Tabbi Voehl, grandsons: Micah, Spencer (Amy), Caleb, Benjamin, and Isaac Voehl, daughter Cindy Voehl, and sister Joan Edelmann of Long Island, NY. Those who knew her were blessed and she will be missed by all. |
