| Published by Mohave Daily News Online from Oct. 14 to Oct. 21, 2022 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Thomas Lee Rogers passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Bullhead City, AZ. Born May 29, 1935 to the parents of Carl and Irene Rogers of Huntington Park, CA. Tom grew up in the city of Huntington Park where he attended South Gate High School. He worked at several aerospace companies in Data Management and retired to Bullhead City in 1990. One of the programs he worked on was the Space Shuttle Program; he hand delivered documents to Washington DC. Tom enjoyed life, he loved his family, golfing, fishing, country dancing and off-road racing. He upgraded a VW bug and raced in several races including the Parker Race and Baja 500 out of Ensenada, MX, and others. His passion for golf led him to get a patent for Putterbabies which is a putter holder for a golf bag. He is survived by his wife, Helen Sharon Rogers; his two children, Scott Rogers and Stacy Beam; three step-children, Dawna Quitmeyer, April Sargent and Tim Nebergall; his sister, Joyce Welton; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces, Lea Espy, Leslie Seidel and Elizabeth Lewandowski; nephews, Thomas Rogers and Jesse Rogers. A memorial will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Rotary Park by the river. He was loved and is missed. |
