Richard Eugene Batson, age 87, a 17-year resident of Bullhead City,
Arizona was reunited with his wife, Carol Rae Batson in Heaven on
Tuesday, October 4, 2022. He was born on June 28, 1935 in Cincinnati,
Ohio. He passed on from fibrosis of the lungs, cancer, and a touch of
"broken heart" from the loss of his wife, Carol, and his son, Mike, Sr.

Richard was a resident of Lake Elsinore, California for 39 years and 20
previous years in various other locations in Southern California.

He was a painter of cars for Chrysler Corp. in Los Angeles and worked in
a spice warehouse part-time in the 1960's to provide for his growing
family. He also attended Rio Hondo College in Whittier, California.

He was the proud Commander of American Legion Post 200 after his move to
Lake Elsinore, California. He operated numerous State Recycling Centers
around Lake Elsinore and was disabled from an injury at a local
supermarket in 2004.

After retiring from the work force, Richard and Carol relocated to
Bullhead City, Arizona in February of 2005 where his favorite pass times
were his wife and their visits to the video slots at the Golden Nugget
in Laughlin, Nevada.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Samantha (his caregiver to his
final day) of Arizona, Kimberly of California, Barbara of Arizona, and
Jeanie of Oregon; his sons, Gary of Arizona, Rick of California and
Arizona, and David of Arizona; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren;
and four great-great-grandchildren.

Richard will be remembered by all as a proud Korean War Veteran, missed
very much by many and loved by a great amount.
