On Oct. 6, 2022, Steve passed from this world in Lake Havasu City.
Steve was born on Sept. 22, 1941, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to Wilson
(Bill) and Iva Reynolds Ferrin.

As a young man, he enjoyed hunting, trapping, taming hawks, skiing and
all things outdoors. Steve was raised on the back of the horses he loved
so much, and that love led him to become a champion team roper.
He was a cowboy through and through.

Steve wore many hats during his 81 years on this earth. He was a
husband, a father, a grandfather, and a friend. He rodeoed, ran cattle
and sold ranches. In 2003, Steve and Sandy took on the adventure of
running a campground in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Steve loved
visiting with campers from all over. In the off season, he liked to take
long hikes often forging his own path while enjoying the abundance of
wildlife found in the hills.

Steve and Sandy took numerous trips to Hawaii, where he enjoyed
snorkeling, scuba diving, driving around looking at the scenery, or just
simply sitting on the lanai soaking in the ocean and sunset.

While retired in Arizona, Steve enjoyed paddleboarding, kayaking or just
walking along the shore of Lake Havasu. He also volunteered several days
a week driving veterans to Prescott and Phoenix. Steve stayed busy but
was always willing to lend a helping hand where needed.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sandy Ferrin, bonus children and
grandchildren that loved him very much. Also, his daughter Amber Ferrin
(Lance Schuchard) and granddaughter Jernie Grace Schuchard whom he loved
so much. As well as his sister and best friend Connie Williams.

He will be greatly missed.

Steve was proceeded in death by his son Will.

Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
