| Published by Mohave Daily News Online from Nov. 6 to Nov. 13, 2022 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Wayne Hinrichsen, age 79, a resident of Bullhead City, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada surrounded by loved ones. He was born on January 14, 1943 to Florence and George Hinrichsen in the small town of Benttendorf, Iowa. To sum up Wayne's life in only a few paragraphs is an impossible task. When Wayne was 13, his family moved to LaMesa, California where he attended Grossmont High School. In 1961, Wayne played saxophone with his high school band in the Rose Parade. After he graduated from high school, he pursued a degree in finance at California State University, Long Beach and graduated in 1966. After graduation, Wayne worked as an industrial engineer at Northrop for over 38 years. He loved his job and when not working, his passion was camping, boating, all things outdoor related, and his Corvette Club. In 1969, Wayne met Ellen in San Diego;. He fell in love with her and her three children; they married in 1971. Shortly thereafter, Wayne adopted her children as his own. After Ellen passed in 2016, Wayne had a second chance at love when he met Suzanne Glennon. They were married in 2020. Wayne was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his children, Kenyen, Kemra, and Kelly; Suzanne's children; and his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. |
